Wendi Fischer

In second grade Wendi won a baking contest for making a jelly-roll cake that looked like a big, yellow Crayola Crayon. Currently she uses her creativity to develop and improve the First Move curriculum. Wendi challenges herself to continually learn Excel and is becoming master of the spreadsheet. As a former classroom teacher, Wendi understands the challenges and rewards that come with teaching. She knows how meaningful it is to have full class engagement, and to have a tool that works for a diverse student population. Wendi joined America's Foundation for Chess in 2004 and is currently the executive director.
